• AUPB Organized Training for 400 Specialists of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection

    Association of Ukrainian Pig Breeders  in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), have developed a standard operating procedure (SOP) to help employees of laboratories of agro-food markets to respond correctly and promptly in case of suspicion that live animals or livestock products are infected. In order to present and discuss the SOP directly with its implementers, a training was held for specialists of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection's epizootology departments and laboratory staff at agri-food markets. About 400 participants from all regions of Ukraine joined the online meeting.

    The widespread incidence of powdery mildew, Septoria, brown leaf rust, dark brown, reticular spot, root rot, helminthosporiosis, focal rhynchosporiosis, pyrenophorosis and other diseases has been detected in grain crops.

    Last year, despite all the challenges associated with the armed aggression of the Russian Federation, was fruitful for Ukraine in terms of expanding international markets. Despite the restrictions on visits of foreign inspectors to our country and thanks to the coordinated cooperation of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 22 forms of international veterinary certificates for the export of objects of state veterinary and sanitary control and supervision from Ukraine to 12 countries were agreed, namely:
